Our story …

In early 2019, we decided to start creating custom tree saddles for ourselves, friends and family. Our founder/owner Matthew Tompkins has always had a passion for working with his hands and creating custom hunting gear. From the moment he discovered saddle hunting and built his first saddle he became obsessed with everything saddle hunting had to offer… After discovering that none of the current saddle manufacturers were offering any custom designs, we saw a need for the creation of TX5 Custom Gear; ever since, our company has been an innovator in the construction and design of world-class tree saddles — with world-class mix and match options.

Quality still remains priority number one, and as much as we’re known for our custom options, we take pride in hearing people mention the quality of construction first every time they examine one of our saddles for the first time. Shortcuts should not exist in a world where your life is literally hanging by a rope! We do things the RIGHT way, not the CHEAP way … or the most profitable way. Top-quality components are something we believe in and something we will not deviate from.
